Creating Economic Opportunity for Disabled Adults
Micro-Grants
We provide small grants to disabled adults to purchase initial materials and create handmade crafts and projects for sale to others.
Craft Creation
Disabled adults use these grants to create their unique handmade crafts, fostering greater independence and learning business and financial skills.
Empowerment
By earning supplemental income and learning valuable business skills, participants build sustainable livelihoods that can benefit them for a lifetime.
Our Mission
Hands of Hope provides micro-grants for disabled adults who can create and sell their handmade crafts to generate supplemental income for themselves and thereby gain increasing measures of personal independence.

How Hands of Hope Works
Hands of Hope grants provide opportunities for participants to create, earn, and gain increased measures of independence.
In addition to modest seed money grants for crafting materials and supplies, grantees will have access to online mentoring by volunteers on operating a small business, pricing, inventory management, creating social media outreach, financial management and more.
Participants will become active in the marketplace and, ultimately, some will own their own small home-based enterprises. Each step is a step toward greater independence.

“A few hundred dollars enabled me to buy a potting wheel, clay, and ceramic glaze. I was able to sell my first creations to an art gallery and eventually launch my own business. The extra income helps a lot.”
